Okay, so our first one today is actually one on the Isle of Wight for the builders and developers out there! This one particularly caught my attention due to it being one of the last remaining undeveloped plots in the area. It's not too often we hear that, so I took a closer look to find out a little more...

It turns out that the site is currently occupied by a former warehouse. I always feel a little sad to see what would once have been an iconic part of the local skyline, ending up a derelict and overgrown site, but at least this one has been lined up for a major facelift and whole new lease

Auction House, the UK’s largest auctioneer, has announced record first half results for 2015, as the number of lot entries for the group hits an all time high.

Between January and June the award-wining auctioneer sold 1,415 lots through its national network of 40 auction rooms – a figure which is 14% up on the same period last year – representing a success rate of 76% and raising £179m in the process. Meanwhile, a record 726 auction lots are catalogued to be offered in July - a 10% increase on the group’s previous highest monthly total.

First one for you today is a gorgeous 3 bed cottage in need of some refurbishment. Well worth a look for any owner occupiers seeking that perfect project property, this one is bursting at the seams with both bags of character and loads of attractive original features. If, like me, you love the striking atmosphere created by bold dark beams against a white/neutral room, then you will adore this one as from the interior images they are clearly a very big feature in this charming country cottage along with that lovely fireplace.... oh, and that bold green AGA in the kitchen looks fab too! :-)

A private auction run by Auction House London this week (Monday 13 July 2015) raised more than £3m ahead of the brand’s main auction next week.

The four mixed commercial, retail and residential properties on Queensbridge Road, Hackney are part of an established parade of shops in the East London borough. The sale was held at a pub opposite Auction House London’s premises in NW8. Hammer prices raised ranged from £224,000 to £1,582,500, totalling £3,091,500.

Managing Director and Auctioneer, Andrew Binstock said, “It just goes to prove that the auction model works equally well in a more

Symonds & Sampson have enjoyed success with two property auctions held over the last couple of weeks.

On the 24th June, Yarde Farm at Churchill, between Axminster and Chard was offered for sale. The property had been in the Perring family for over 100 years and, since Miss Perring passed away, had been empty for about 8 years.

The farmhouse was listed Grade II and required full renovation, there was also an attached barn, farm buildings and just over 12 acres of land.  With nearly 50 viewings taking place, there was a busy auction room.  The guide price of £450,000 to £500,000 was easily

First lot for you today is a pretty fixer upper, but it's incredibly charming, spacious, and in a lovely Norfolk setting. Well worth a look for those owner occupiers up for the challenge of a project property. Having initially started as a much smaller Victorian home at it's core, this property has had extension on both sides done in the years since, though you really wouldn't know at a glance!

It certainly gives the first impression that it has always been a large 4 bedroom family home, and I love that shade of green which fits so well in this lovely part woodland plot! It's a pity we don't

Another staggeringly successful CPBigwood auction as property prices hit fresh peaks.

Held at the Holte Suite, Aston Villa, it achieved £14,224,550 inclusive of prior sales, in the room deals and post event transactions.

This represented an 87 per cent success rate on the back of 2,500 viewings.

Jonathan Hackett, partner and head of auctions, said: “It was a remarkable auction. Just fantastic.

“Guide prices were being smashed left, right and centre. Bidding was hot.”

Before this year, CPBigwood's previous record auction took place in February 2014 which raised just over £13 million. All three

The mews property in Sefton village is in need of some updating, but does benefit from central heating, garage and an open aspect to the rear. The guide price is £220,000 to £240,000.

Cathy Holt, joint head of auctions at Sutton Kersh says: ‘This is a unique property in a popular location close to Maghull town centre, with easy access to the M57 and M58 motorway connection, and the main A59 into Liverpool city centre. I expect there to be plenty of interest.’

Have you ever considered living on a boat? (Kind of ironic given the kind of weather we are experiencing today!).

Ok, so this one may perhaps not be for everyone... but I know there are people who would jump at the chance of such an unusual home on the water! So, to all you folks out there nodding in agreement, this one is for you :-)

What I have for you today is a static boat that's situated in a popular marina in Nottingham. It's well cared for by the current owner, has been lived in for several years, and kept in good working order throughout. The exterior looks great, boasting upvc double
