A Little Bit About Us

Trusted for Over 20 Years in UK Property Auctions

At UK Auction List, we’ve been helping house hunters, investors, and developers find auction properties across the UK since 2002 — long before most property auction sites even existed.

While new platforms come and go, our decades of experience, trusted reputation, and hands-on approach set us apart. Unlike automated aggregator sites, every listing on our platform is manually added, ensuring you get the most accurate, up-to-date auction property information.

With a long-standing presence and a site that’s consistently ranked by search engines for key auction terms, UK Auction List continues to be a go-to resource for serious buyers and sellers. Whether you're just starting out or you’re a seasoned investor, you’ll find everything you need right here — all in one place, and backed by decades of auction experience.

We’re a small family-run business. Our goal is simple: to give you a reliable, easy-to-use service with the latest info on property auctions across the UK. We’re always improving what we do so you get the best possible support when buying and selling property through auction.

All our listings come straight from the auction houses themselves. We don’t use automated tools to grab their info — we enter everything manually with their permission - no robots, no automatic copying. Auctioneers share their property details with us, and we personally add each listing to make sure it’s clear and accurate.

Whenever possible, we also include Google Maps, Street View, Virtual Tours, and full catalogue PDFs for each property in our database — so you can get a proper feel for a place before deciding whether to take things further.

Auction houses list with us for free, which means even the smallest ones — often missing from big sites like Rightmove — can showcase their properties here. As a result, you get access to lots from both large and small auctioneers in one place.

We list UK properties going to Traditional auction, as provided directly by auction houses. To see full property details, contact info, maps, catalogues, and our auction calendar, there’s a small subscription fee — around 20–30p a day, depending on your plan. This helps keep the site running, as we don’t rely on ads, and most importantly, we never share or sell your personal data.

Our site is ideal if you want quick and easy access to UK auction properties without having to jump around lots of different websites. Everything’s in one place, with direct links straight to the auctioneers. If you spot a property you like, just get in touch with the auction house directly for viewings, legal packs, or bidding info. We update our database every day, so we don’t send out catalogues or emails — it’s best to search our site directly to see the latest listings, since search engines can sometimes show old info.

What you get with a subscription (£9.95/month or £19.95/quarter):
  • Full property details, including unsold lots
  • Google Maps, Street View, and Virtual Tours (if available)
  • Auction catalogue links and auctioneer websites
  • Custom property alerts (daily or weekly)
  • Auctioneer contact info for every property
  • Access to our full auctioneer directory and updated auction calendar

We recommend keeping your search broad, as there are fewer auction properties than standard estate agent listings.

Auctions run all year round, with short breaks at Easter, in August, and from mid-December to mid-January. The number of auctions varies by auction house. To arrange viewings, get legal packs, or ask about unsold lots, please contact the auctioneer directly — full details are available to subscribers.

For further information about auctions in general, we suggest having a read through the rest of our FAQs.

(We are a small business and therefore outsource call answering in order to support us day to day. These receptionists might not know the answer to your question, so if you have a question, it's best to contact us via our Contact Form so that we can personally email you a dedicated and thorough response to any query that you might have that isn't covered in our FAQs).

Before you register

If you find auction properties via Google or other search engines, you might see older listings from past auctions — these are usually no longer available.

Our main database only shows properties in upcoming auctions and unsold lots from the past five weeks. Some “tag” pages on our site show older listings (up to three years old) for reference only, so you can see what’s been available in the past.

To check what’s currently on offer, always search directly on our website at www.ukauctionlist.com. Keep in mind that many auction houses close in August and mid-December to early January, so there may be fewer properties listed at those times. New catalogues usually start appearing mid-January, so it’s worth checking back regularly.

Note: Sometimes auctioneers add extra properties after we’ve uploaded the listings, and because we enter everything by hand, we can’t always catch them in time. The good news? As a Member, you can go straight to their website and check for any new updates yourself. A few auctioneers don’t provide a final listing, but you’ll still find them in our Auction Calendar and Auctioneer Directory — with handy links straight to their sites so you can browse whenever you like. Also, remember, some properties can sell before auction day, so it’s worth confirming with the auctioneer to see whether they are still going under the hammer.
