Members' Questions Answered

To request a Legal Pack, arrange a Viewing, or Register to Bid, please contact the Auctioneers directly. We list properties on their behalf and can't assist with these requests. As a small business, we use outsourced receptionists who may not have all the answers. For specific queries, please use our Contact Form so that we can personally email you a dedicated and thorough response to any query that you might have that isn't covered in our FAQs.

Q: I'm having problems logging in, what shall I do?

A: After registering (and paying for a subscription), log in here: Login

Your username is your email (unless changed in My Account). If you've forgotten your password, click "Forgot password" on the login page for a reset link. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

If you still can't log in or view property details, email us at [email protected] with your name and registered email, or use the Contact Form. Please avoid calling as our outsourced receptionists won't be able to assist.

Once logged in successfully, you'll see "MY UKAL" in the top right, giving you access to property details, your Account area, Auction Calendar, Auctioneer Directory, Property Alerts, Favourites, and subscription management.

Q: How can I change my password?

A: You can update your password in the "My Account" area. Make sure it's case-sensitive, then click 'SAVE' to confirm. Keep your new password in a safe place for future reference. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activities under your account.

Q: How do I change the e-mail address that I use to login to UK Auction List?

A: You can do this in your My Account area. Here you will be able enter a new email address. Once you click 'SAVE' your new email address will be saved on our system.

Q: Why are you continuing to take money from my Credit/Debit Card/Apple Pay/Google Pay?

A: UK Auction List is a membership subscription service. A subscription is “an amount of money that you pay regularly to receive a product or service” and is “an arrangement by which access is granted to an online service and an advance payment is made to receive or participate in something”. Think gym membership, or Netflix, or a magazine subscription as similar examples.

When you register, you choose a monthly or three-month subscription. Monthly subscriptions are £9.95, and three-month subscriptions are £19.95. Payments are processed by OPAYO or STRIPE, depending on when you registered.

The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel in your "My Account". To stop future payments, cancel at least a day or two before the next billing date. Your membership ends at the close of the current period once you cancel.

We don't send renewal reminders, so keep track of your registration date and renewal. When you sign up, you will receive an automated Order Confirmation with your subscription details.

If you only require your subscription for one month or three months, then it is your responsibility to cancel within your Account, prior to the next payment being debited.

Q: How do I cancel my subscription?

A: Cancelling your subscription is easy. Just log in to your Member's area, click the 'My Account' button, and at the bottom of the page, click 'cancel subscription.' Your subscription will be cancelled automatically, and no further payments will be charged.

You’ll get an email confirming your cancellation and informing you that you’ll still have access until the end of your current billing period.

To cancel, use the 'My Account' page, as calls or emails won’t process cancellations. This also ensures you get an email confirmation as proof, and we receive a copy for verification.

If you don't receive the confirmation email within 24 hours, contact us immediately to verify your cancellation. Check your Junk folder too!

Q: I'm interested in a property, who do I contact?

A: Contact the auctioneer directly, email or better still, for a faster response, phone them. Their contact details are available if you're registered and a member.

Q: I saw a property on your website but now I’ve registered I can’t find it anywhere.

A: When searching for property auctions, you may come across past auction pages in search results. These often display a date next to the property image. You won’t be able to view these pages on our website if the auction was over 5 weeks ago. Always double-check on our website to confirm if the property is part of a current auction.

Q: I asked for details on a property but haven’t heard back from the auctioneer. What can I do?

A: We apologise on behalf of the auctioneer. Our advice is phone them up if you have already sent an email.

Q: I can't find any properties or property auctions in the area I am searching for?

A: If there are no current properties for auction in your area, try adjusting your search criteria (e.g., remove specific property types or price range) to widen the search. Auction catalogues are released throughout the year, so check back weekly. Note: Auction houses take breaks from mid-December to mid-January and in August. Our site lists properties from "Traditional" auctions, not Modern Method auctions.

N.B. We aim to upload auction catalogues within 24-48 hours of release. If a PDF catalogue is available, you can view it while we upload individual properties. If catalogues are released late, you can access them directly through the Auctioneer's Directory, available to Members, which includes contact details and websites of all UK auction houses.

Q: How do I save a property to a shortlist?

A: You can save a property by tapping the heart icon 'add to favourites' which appears below the property image. You can view and manage your properties within your Member's area in the 'Favourites' section.

Q: Are the dates, times and venues in the calendar accurate?

A: The dates, times, and venues listed are correct at the time of publication. Auction details may change, and UK Auction List is not responsible for these changes. We recommend contacting the auctioneer directly to confirm details before the auction.

Q: How do I arrange a property viewing?

A: In order to arrange a viewing for a property you will need to contact the auctioneer who is advertising the property. For a faster response, we advise you phone them rather than email.

Q: I need to update my details?

A: To update your details, log in to the members area where you can change your profile and account details.
