The Heath Lodge Hotel at 117 Coleshill Road in Marston Green, which has been offering smart accommodation since the late 1960s, has a guide price* of £750,000+.

The detached, three-storey property has 23 en suite bedrooms for guests, all well fitted out with flat screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities and wireless broadband, with an additional bedroom currently used by staff.

Investors demonstrated how quickly they have adapted to the current situation as Acuitus has so far raised £13.355m at its May sale and sold 73% of the lots offered.

Acuitus Chairman, Richard Auterac, comments: “Great credit has to go to our selling clients and investors for the way in which they have quickly got to grips with not only the market but also how to trade through auctions.

“We are the only leading commercial property auctioneer in the UK who continues to offer a live auction experience with a range of bidding options. Even though we offered 22 lots, we still had more than 800 bids

Anyone who has in the last ten weeks wished they had a little more space and a garden will love one of the larger lots in Bond Wolfe Auctions’ remote bidding auction on Wednesday 24 June.

Church Garth is a six bedroom detached family home set in three acres in St Peters Lane, Bickenhill, near Solihull.

Jonathan Hackett, a consultant director at Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “Church Garth is what used to be known in Victorian times as a ‘gentleman’s residence’.

“It is a substantial detached house set in extensive grounds accessed by a sweeping driveway from St Peters Lane.

Network Auctions showed they really do sell properties with ‘No Reserve’ when a parcel of land sold under the online hammer at just £51 in their 21st May auction. The land situated at Meadow Way and Orchard Way, Reigate, Surrey comprised 0.62 acres of highway, paths, verges and part of a roundabout in the popular residential areas.

The auctioneer’s addendum was a note of caution for any would-be bidders: ‘We are advised by the local authority highways department the title comprises land that is publicly adopted, buyers should make their own enquiries in this regard.’

Bond Wolfe Auctions, the UK’s fastest growing auction business, will be back with a bang on Wednesday 24th June with an online livestreamed auction expected to see more than 100 lots go under the hammer.

Chief executive Gurpreet Bassi said they had held back from announcing their first auction since lockdown was announced in March as they wanted to be sure they could offer their full appraisal, viewing and marketing services.

“We took the view early on that it was unreasonable to expect our clients to buy, sight unseen, and so deliberately delayed announcing any firm plans.

Auction House London held their second-ever live-stream auction during the lockdown last week (Wednesday 6 May), which delivered a stunning 84% success rate, and included the highest number of registered bidders for a single lot that Auctioneer Andrew Binstock has ever seen.

49 lots were sold from the 58 offered on the day, with bidding taking place online, by phone or by proxy, raising a total of almost £10m (£9,946,750). But it was the very first lot – a one-bedroom, ground floor flat in Redhill, Surrey - which became the story of the sale.

A notorious farm in Bacup which made national headlines after animals were found living in squalor is to be sold by auction.

The current occupier of Trice Barn Farm, off Bacup Old Road, was served notice to vacate last year but remains living there, making it impossible to view the farm. But despite this, auctioneers say potential buyers are lining up to bid on the property when it is sold by SDL Auctions this month.  One reason may be the guide price. At just £50,000+, the 80-acre site represents excellent value.

Andy Thompson, head of auctions North West, said: “The farm and its

Auction House says that the group is still very much open for business and is listing and selling hundreds of properties via live-stream and online auctions, despite the current restrictions.

During the lockdown month of April, it offered 342 lots and sold 220 of them, at a success rate of 64.3%, and raised over £20.7m in the process (£20,778,051).

Commenting on the group’s recent performance, Founding Director Roger Lake said: “Despite the unprecedented circumstances we’re all experiencing, we are currently delivering over 60% of our normal level of sales. Bidder numbers have been strong and
