The former NatWest Bank & Conservative Club in Stretford is just one of several exciting lots in SDL Auctions North West’s next auction at the AJ Bell Stadium on Thursday 24 May.

The building at 20/20a King Street, Stretford, measures approximately 6,899 sq ft and Edward Feather, senior valuer and auctioneer at SDL Auctions North West, says it could be converted and used for a wide range of purposes, subject to planning permission.

“The empty three storey freehold building is located at the entrance to Stretford shopping mall, just off Chester Road, and is close to Pure Gym, Boots and Aldi,”

Hey everyone, Happy Friday to you all!

I have something pretty special to show you today, and if you're looking for a property that exudes 'Wow Factor', then you're definitely in the right place. To get us started off, I'm gonna ask you a wee question... have you ever dreamt of living in a castle one day? If the answer is yes (or, if the question itself has you feeling curious), then please read on and see what you think of this rather special property in County Durham...

Firstly, I'd like to make clear that it's not an 'actual' castle itself that's on offer here. We are about to check out

Symonds & Sampson held three property auctions in April and following success in Devon and Hampshire, they were in Sherborne on 27th April to offer 16 lots in Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.

Commercial property investors will be flocking to Birmingham for SDL Auctions Bigwood’s next auction at Aston Villa FC on Wednesday 23 May where an impressive 172 lots will be going under the hammer.

In December 2017, SDL Auctions Bigwood set a record of 170 lots, beating its previous best of 157, in an auction that raised over £16 million, but the May auction will set a new record.

Ian Tudor, head of commercial auctions at SDL Auctions Bigwood, said: “The 172 lot catalogue features many attractive investment propositions ranging from former banks, to pubs, retail investments and mixed use

Auction House, the UK’s largest property auctioneer, is reporting the highest number of April sales in the group’s 11 year history.

The award-winning auctioneer sold a total of 306 lots during the month - a 16% rise on the 264 sales in 2017, with a combined value of £43.6m. This included the sale of the 1,000th lot this year – a milestone reached one month earlier than last year. The property concerned was a semi-detached bungalow in Stanton Avenue, Northampton (below), which sold above its £135,000-£155,000 guide price, for £156,500.

Here is a preview ahead of what promises to be an exciting May property auction in Harrogate for FSS.

Lots range in price from £50,000 to £900,000 in one of the most diverse and interesting sale events we've had for some time.

FSS auctioneer Richard Smailes said he and his team were looking forward to showing prospective bidders around the properties, which include a Grade II Listed character cottage in Knaresborough, a farm with planning permission for two individual barn conversions near Kirkby Overblow (pictured) and a prime commercial property right on the Market Place in Knaresborough.

A seven bedroom villa was the stand out result in SDL Auctions Graham Penny’s April Leicester auction at the King Power Stadium.

The property at 15 Westcotes Drive in Leicester went under the hammer with a *guide price of £200,000+ but after competitive bidding it sold for £301,000.

A house of multiple occupation (HMO) over three floors, it was described by Carl Finch, senior auction valuer at SDL Auctions Graham Penny, as a great buy-to-let investment which could bring in a rental income of around £28,000 per annum, giving a return of close to 10 per cent.

Other properties that sold well

A property which has been in the same family ownership for over 50 years has sold at Network Auctions 19th April London sale for £225,000 to a bidder who flew over from Switzerland specially to bid on the lot.

The three bedroom non standard construction property in a plot of approx. 0.42 acres located in Teignmouth Devon attracted considerable pre-auction interest due to its superb sea views towards Lyme Bay. The property guided at £175,000 – £200,000 saw a hot bidding war between locals , Londoners and the eventual successful Swiss buyer and achieved £50,000 more than the lower estimate.

This fantastic Georgian property in Nottinghamshire boasts many wonderful features, as well as four bedrooms and a stunning location, but it's the inclusion of a Grade II Listed Windmill that first grabbed my attention here! It's not every day an opportunity like that comes along
