Humphreys of Chester, one of the most respected estate agencies in the region, has been acquired by the SDL Group for an undisclosed sum. Humphreys is a multiple award winning firm - the recipient of three Sunday Times Awards for estate agency and auctions.

Peter set up Humphreys of Chester in 1994 and joined Auction House in July 2008. Since then his work, selling property under the hammer, has gone from strength to strength. His private treaty estate agency is being taken over by SDL. SDL Graham Penny held another successful auction at the King Power Stadium last week with bids coming in from the auction room, on the phone, by proxy and via the internet.
The auction, on Thursday 29th September, saw a catalogue of 21 residential property, commercial property and land lots offered with more than £1.6m raised in sales on the day.
