Romans' auction results beat the competition

Following their third property auction of the year, the number of lots offered by Romans at public auction climbed to 36, greatly exceeding the number of properties offered by other local auctioneers.

As you might expect, Romans have sold property in the areas where they have local offices in Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey, but you may be surprised to know that they have also successfully sold lots much further afield in Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, West Sussex, and Dorset and are continuing to increase their share of the auction market in the South East.

Speaking after the auction Simon Clayton, Romans Auctions Director commented: “Despite a General Election being called during the marketing period prior to the sale we saw some very encouraging activity in the room today. Pricing in line with market sentiment is crucial; however those sellers who did set their reserve prices realistically certainly reaped the rewards today.”

A popular auction choice are vacant houses for renovation, which continued to prove as popular as ever at our most recent auction, alongside, pasture land, a semi-detached house and several flats with tenants, being sold as investments.
