Auction House reports record sales in 2022 - but predicts challenging months ahead

The UK’s largest property auctioneer Auction House is reporting a record number of sales in 2022 (4,132 compared to 3,606 in 2021) – and the first time the network has broken through the 4,000-lot threshold in the group’s 16-year history.

The total money raised by the auctions last year has also risen accordingly – up 4% (some £24.5m), to £630,683,784.

We’ve made it through the last auction of the year! And what an auction it was. From churches to schools and a plethora of idyllic rural cottages, December really gave our auction house a treat.
