SDL Auctions North West has another successful auction under its belt after securing an impressive 75% success rate at the AJ Bell Stadium in Manchester.
The company’s fourth Manchester auction of the year this week saw a variety of lots go under the hammer, from small flats to large commercial premises, raising over £1.63 million in sales.
One of the smallest properties to be sold on the day was a quaint one bedroomed ground-floor flat in popular Congleton. 61a Lawton Street features a lounge, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, and sold for £39,000 from a guide price of £27,500+.
Sales continue to go from strength to strength for Auction House London with 80% of the lots listed, selling at last month's auction (Wednesday 31 July 2019).
It was a packed saleroom at the London Marriott Regents Park Hotel, where bidding at times was fast and furious. Director and Auctioneer at Auction House London, Andrew Binstock said, “It was a stunning result and compared to the average sales of 71.2% in the property auction sector generally, our figures are utterly exceptional.”

A stunning water tower in Nottinghamshire with approved plans to create 13 luxury apartments goes under the hammer at Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next auction in Birmingham on Tuesday 10th September.
The landmark art deco building stands 26 metres high and sits on an L-shaped site of approximately 0.37 acres of land on Goldstraw Lane in Fernwood, near Newark.
Permission has been granted for two apartments in the existing water tower, three new-build units within proposed “wings” to the tower, a further eight apartments in two courtyard blocks and 19 car parking spaces.
West Midlands Police has put three of its former police stations up for sale in Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next auction at Villa Park on Tuesday 10 September.
The spacious properties in Birmingham and the Black Country are all freehold and are considered suitable for a variety of uses, subject to planning permission.

The UK’s largest property auctioneer, Auction House, says that its record results for the first half of 2019 indicate the continuing attraction of room auctions.
Between January and June this year, the group sold 1,733 lots from 2,275 lots offered – an increase of 10% on the same period in 2018 – and with a success rate of 76.2% (up from 75.0% last year).
