The final Acuitus commercial property auction of the year saw the sale of 59 lots for a total of £34.89m. This took the total volume of Acuitus sales in 2018 to just under £240m.
Acuitus auctioneer, Richard Auterac, commented: “This is a remarkable result for our clients, who in the main are institutions, investment funds and asset managers. It has been delivered against a political atmosphere that some pundits say hasn’t been seen since the days of Cavaliers and Roundheads!”.
Despite the continued negative press towards UK High Street retail, it was assets of this type which produced some of
The UK’s number one property auctioneer Auction House has reported a fifth consecutive month of record sales in 2018, selling more lots in every month since July than ever before in the eleven year history of the network.
In November this year the group sold 156 lots from 219 offered – a success rate of 71% and raising a total of £14.7m. These figures take the cumulative total in 2018 to sales of 3,257 lots since the start of the year, raising over £400m (£400,721,903) in the process.
Commenting on another month of record numbers, Auction House Founding Director Roger Lake said: “These figures

Hey folks... it's getting closer and closer to Christmas now, so there's not long left if you're hoping to grab a bargain property at auction this year!
My final hot pick property of the year is this rather fabby property in Derbyshire that's ideally suited to investors, developers, and owner occupiers who are hunting for a fantastic project property. It's perhaps a little overwhelming for the beginner, but for anyone that brings a little time and experience with them, it's an amazing opportunity to fully renovate a wonderful Grade II Listed historic property that can be taken in multiple
Hey everyone, I've got a lovely little mixed bunch of properties to show you today. Each is a little different or unique in some way, and there's something to suit various buyer types too. A lovely interesting group of property stocking fillers, all available at auction just in time for Christmas!
Our first stop today is in Birmingham where I've spotted a great three bedroom bungalow that needs some modernisation, but brings plenty character and is very much suited to both owner occupiers and investors alike. It's for auction with COTTONS this Thursday.
Right, it's off to Cumbria to check out a fab three bedroom property today, for sale on 13th December with Auction House Cumbria.
It's a perfect blank canvas, so if you're seeking a home that you can make your mark on without a big restoration also required, then your time will be well spent taking a closer look at this one.
You have an ideal village setting here, but the property itself is lovely, modern, and has benefit of balconies to two floors at the rear of the property. To me that indicates some lovely views to be taken advantage of from this attractive and spacious property.
Hey everyone, the festive season is at our doorsteps again so I hope you're all wrapped up cosy and warm, and will join me as I head on over to Staffordshire to look at an 18th Century historic property that is in need of considerable TLC, but in return it offers excellent potential for a wide range of buyers. This beauty is for auction with SDL Auctions Birmingham on 12th December.
This one is definitely not a project property for the faint of heart though. While the main residence is largely liveable in it's currently dated condition, also included are two wings to the rear of the property
Leading land agent Aston Mead says that Brexit may have subdued the property industry, but it has also led to a pent-up demand, which is likely to feed back into the market next year.
Aston Mead Land & Planning Director Richard Watkins said: “Any degree of political or economic uncertainty means that buyers tend to sit on their hands. People with important and costly decisions to make tend to pause and reflect, waiting for a time when the outcome is more predictable. The ongoing machinations of the Brexit process for the last two years are no exception – so little wonder that the property
A 300-year-old canalside cottage in a picturesque setting is for sale in SDL Auctions Bigwood’s December auction at Aston Villa Football Club on Wednesday 12 December.
7 Canalside in Stourport-on-Severn is currently a one bedroomed property and in need of modernisation and repair.
Jason Lee, head of auctions at SDL Auctions Bigwood, said: “This is a unique opportunity to acquire a distinctive property with a wealth of features.
“It is crying out for sympathetic refurbishment and repair and currently has gas fired central heating and partial double glazing.”
