Three of the property industry’s most successful auctioneers will be combining their talents to sell SDL Auctions’ biggest catalogue yet when more than 200 properties go under the hammer in its national property auction this month.
Andrew Parker, Rory Daly and Graham Penny – all familiar faces to viewers of BBC TV’s Homes Under the Hammer – will be on the rostrum once again for the Thursday 27th August auction. Live-streaming to thousands from SDL Auctions’ head office auction studio, the three auctioneers will offer a packed catalogue of properties from across the whole of the UK.
Live stream sales for Auction House London are going from strength to strength as it achieved its highest value auction (Thursday 30 July 2020) since lockdown began, raising more than £17m.
Director and Auctioneer at Auction House London, Andrew Binstock said, “It was an extraordinary auction. Five and a half hours of endless bidding meant I did my longest ever stint on the rostrum without stopping, with many properties flying miles above their reserve prices.”

Following its seventh lockdown auction, SDL Auctions has retained its position as the UK’s most successful live-streamed auctioneer and helped its buyers save more than £74,000 in stamp duty tax.
In July alone the company has raised £20.7 million in sales and sold 170 properties for its vendors up and down the country through its daily single-lot online auctions and its monthly national property auction.

Despite just one month between sales, Bond Wolfe Auctions achieved another remarkable result in the remote bidding auction held on Wednesday 29 July.
A 95% success rate saw 161 out of 170 lots sold, raising over £16.3 million.
Bond Wolfe Auctions chief executive Gurpreet Bassi said: “Despite there being such a short period between our June and July auctions, we still had a very busy three week marketing period resulting in over 2,500 people registering to bid by internet, telephone and proxy.”

Strettons has continued its strong auction performance during lockdown at its July sale. The firm raised £11.3 million for its clients with a 90% success rate at its remote auction which took place on Tuesday 14 July.
To date, the firm has raised £25 million during lockdown with an average success rate of 90%.
The highest price of the day was achieved for 39 Darenth Road in Stamford Hill, N16. The vacant freehold vacant house, which was on the market for the first time since the Second World War, sold for £1.36 million against a guide of £1.1 - £1.2 million.
Sutton Kersh Auctions once again held a successful live streamed online auction, which resulted in them selling over £9 Million pounds worth of property, the largest figure for a property auction so far this year in the North West.
It was watched by hundreds of people across the country, with over 640 people register to bid and as a result 88 properties have been sold through this one auction alone.

Hello to our visitors. We hope that you are keeping safe and well. Here's a quick update for you regarding what's happening with property auctions around the UK (as of 25th November 2022).
So Covid is still having an affect on live "in person" auctions, while some auctioneers are back in the room, the majority are, for the moment, still utilising an online bidding platform (some with virtual streaming). This means that you can still bid, but just not in the auction room for now. Bidders will be able to carry out telephone, proxy or internet bids to secure their purchases.
Just to let you know that the majority of those auctioneers who have moved to a temporary online platform, will be having their summer break during August. There will only be a handful of auctions taking place next month, with September auction catalogues starting to be released from mid/late August onwards.

Bargain hunters in the East Midlands will be competing to buy neighbouring homes priced as low as £24,000 each in Bond Wolfe Auction’s remote bidding auction next week.
The auction on Wednesday 29 July will be the largest to be held in the Midlands and starts at the earlier time of 9am to accommodate the 177 lots, with potential buyers bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only.
