These Surrey auction properties have the WOW factor!

I've got a simply stunning Surrey property for you today. This 4 bedroom stable conversion stands out from the crowd, and not just for that gorgeous exterior. There is a multitude of attractive features in this one, and it's well worth taking your time looking at the images so you can take in all the lovely little details that make it so special and unique :-)

I absolutely adore the exterior of this property. Those fantastic dark walls with a variety of quirky window shapes that are highlighted by contrasting cream coloured surrounds to give the place a striking appearance, and that clock is an unusual and very pretty feature to have on a residential property like this. I am particularly fond of the decision to remove the stable doors, then fill the entire space with an enormous window, and finally to fit a glass door within that window wall! What a wonderful way to both let the maximum of light in, and to benefit from the lovely views of outside :-)

Not surprisingly this was originally two buildings, a coach house and stables, which when combined into one have resulted in such a delightfully spacious character property. I was blown away by the interior image of the ground floor. There is an amazing mezzanine galleried area above what appears to be a bar/entertaining space, and it must give a great view down over the enormous open plan ground floor living space. The property further benefits from a vaulted oak panelled drawing room that isn't shown in the images provided, but if it is of the same levels of craftsmanship used on the bar area and staircase, it should be pretty impressive!

I'm really pleased to see that every opportunity has been taken to let additional light into the property, even the roof space has light pouring down from above, leaving not one dark corner in sight. The finish on the bar itself looks fab, and I love that marvellous stone floor throughout the main living area. There is even an enormous brickwork feature fireplace in the background too, where a snug reception area has been tucked away under the staircase.

It seems that every single bit of space has been so well thought out, utilised, and tastefully designed. There is nothing that stands out as being perhaps not to most people's taste. Someone very clever and talented has designed this property, and the evidence is plain to see in every inch of the images provided. Even the bedroom image shows a well proportioned space, and I fully expect that the others are of similar scale.

Overall, I can't see any flaws at all here. There is one very big list of plus points though!! It is not often that a special home of such a high calibre comes along, so if you are as captivated as I am by this unique property you'd best get yourself over to that auction and make your interest known. I will be amazed if there isn't a bit of a bidding war over this one. It's big on the outside, and seems even bigger on the inside... a bit of a Tardis really, and probably as rare! :-)

Now, I've got another great property in Surrey for us to take a look at today... this 4/5 bedroom property has a bold appearance, combining the bright crisp brickwork of the ground floor with the dark wood facing of the upper floor, and it's a great look. The house looks great framed by greenery on both sides, and I'm loving the mature trees in the enormous drive/parking area. There's a real feeling of being in somewhere completely rural or located in a forest, yet this family home is actually on the outskirts of town!

This property isn't just framed by greenery though, it also makes the most of the outside space through the secluded mature gardens, and that fantastic large balcony/decking area to the first floor that is large enough for entertaining friends and loved ones. There is even what appears to be a pretty pond/water feature in the garden, while most of the space has been laid to lawn, making this a fantastic property for the less green-fingered, for folks with limited time to put into their garden, for people who love to entertain out of doors in good weather, and in particular for families needing a big outdoor space for the kids to run about and play :-)

Inside, this is a really great example of a home that perfectly blends open plan living with cosy nooks boasting individual character and purpose. the staggered height between the front and back halves of the property has become a feature in itself here, and I love that the design permits those floor to ceiling windows in the living space to let light flow freely through the whole central staircase portion of the house. I'm also pleased to see a fine example of wooden door and window frames here too, as it's so refreshing to get away from the standard white that is so prevalent these days. Likewise, the staircase, living area wall panel, and portions of wooden panelling on the living area ceiling all match those frames, so there is a great feeling of continuity throughout a property that otherwise has a largely neutral palette.

The kitchen in this property is awesome! Perfect for entertaining, for feeding family in the dining area, and ideal for all who live and breathe their cooking and baking. This is a kitchen that wows, especially with that unique island with built in cooker that allows you to be a part of the goings on when cooking for family and loved ones. What a difference to not be facing a wall as is so common in the average kitchen.

There are many fantastic features to this property. I love the way the two sitting room areas seem to flow into each other, yet each have their own identities. One with the TV, and the other set by a lovely modern fire. So you can be sat by the fire reading in peace while the kids are down the other end getting their tv fix for example. I can see so many places where considerable thought has been applied to the design of this fabby family home.

It is so easy to picture living in a place like this. So light, bright, airy, and with all your needs taken into account, and sometimes even before you may have realised there was another way to do things! It's a clever property that makes the most of every foot of space, and gives you multiple ways to best enjoy the fantastic setting! Up at auction on Thursday, you'll need to jump on this one quickly as I very much doubt this one will be hanging around for long ;-)
