A total of 29 lots were offered on the day, attracting a broad range of bidders from across the UK looking for opportunities in refurbishment, buy-to-let and long-term investment assets.

“We were encouraged by the level of interest shown in this auction, with strong bidding activity across a variety of property types,” said Annette Shelley from the auction team at Smith and Sons. “In a market that continues to fluctuate, the auction format remains a transparent and efficient way for both buyers and sellers to achieve results.”

Highlights from the auction include Kiln Rd in Woodchurch, a three-bed terraced property that sold for £115,250 against a guide of £75,000 - £85,000, and 46 Lees Avenue in Birkenhead which sold for £80,250 against a guide of £35,000 - £45,000. A number of properties where sold pre auction and post auction, where offers where accepted by the vendor.

Annette continued: “We are already accepting entries into our Spring auction which is typically one of the busiest of the year.”

Smith and Sons continues to support vendors and purchasers with expert guidance and a wide national and international buyer database, ensuring maximum exposure for properties sold through its auction platform.
