Properties of the Week
First lot for you today is a pretty fixer upper, but it's incredibly charming, spacious, and in a lovely Norfolk setting. Well worth a look for those owner occupiers up for the challenge of a project property. Having initially started as a much smaller Victorian home at it's core, this property has had extension on both sides done in the years since, though you really wouldn't know at a glance!
It certainly gives the first impression that it has always been a large 4 bedroom family home, and I love that shade of green which fits so well in this lovely part woodland plot! It's a pity we don't have any internal shots with this one, however it does sound promising due to rooms described as bright and airy, and the blank canvas throughout. A perfect starting point from which to make this one your own. Additionally I was very pleased to see a good variety of outbuildings... they have endless potential for use in a multitude of ways(stpp of course!).
Overall, this is a really flexible property that is ideal for the owner occupier to mould and shape it into something uniquely personal to their needs, and the bonus of those outbuildings to expand into for hobbies, interests, and pursuits... well, this one may suit the investors looking to make a quick turnover from the refurb, but my bet is on it landing in the hands of an enthusiastic owner occupier that will apply the TLC it needs in return for their perfect home :-)
Staying in the same part of the country, Suffolk this time, the next one for you is also in need of some attention. Having started out as 2 cottages, this property was created when they were merged in the 1960's to form a single 3 bedroom home. You've two options with this one, either refurbishing the current property which is ideal for an owner occupier seeking a project or investors wanting quick turnover..... or alternatively developers/builders may look to gain planning permission for a full redevelopment on this good sized plot. There is definitely good potential either way.
It's unfortunate there are no internal images, but those garden shots certainly caught my eye with this one! Yup, at first glance to some it will look pretty bare with a cluttered group of sheds/garages and greenhouses, but to me I see bags of potential. Interestingly one is listed as a goat building! I have to admit, having never seen inside one, I'm not quite sure of what ways it could be repurposed... but the greenhouses will be ideal for all those green fingered owner occupiers. Perfect especially for anyone interested in growing their own, and with so much space you really could have a vast and varied crop on the go. Plenty flat grassy areas that are equally suited to such a pursuit... or equally it could be seen as a blank canvas that can be cleared, shaped, and moulded into a very attractive garden space. This one could draw attention from far and wide, especially with the varied options inside and out reaching to such wide extremes.
It will be interesting if this one passes through UKAL again someday, as I really can't guess which way this will go. Perhaps it will be redeveloped from scratch and entirely unrecognisable, or equally it may just get the TLC it needs to improve on what's already there :-) I really love both of these properties, though admittedly in both cases it's the exterior potential that has drawn me in.
Our final property today is a fantastic unique Victorian 3 bedroom with 1970s extension. Set in 5.8 acres in a lovely East Sussex village this one is packed with goodies.
You're getting a pool, a couple of ponds, some woodland, a mobile home, stables, paddocks, and last but definitely not least, a stone barn that's been converted into a games room! Best of all, the auctioneers have included a selection of internal shots, and they certainly don't disappoint (check out the property in our database by clicking on the link). The charming exteriors of the house, extension, and barn are actually somewhat deceptive, as the property has actually undergone full refurbishment that has left the interiors looking crisp and modern. That kitchen is gorgeous, and it's wonderful the way the woodland outside has been brought in through the wooden floors and surfaces. It's a look we don't see too often, and it really is quite beautiful in a space filled with so much natural light. I also love that big expanse of decking with plenty room to entertain.
This one has been refurbished to a very high standard, and packs in enough extras to have something for everyone. I can especially see families with teenagers benefiting most of all from that games room in the converted barn! ;-)
