Middlesbrough homes to be auctioned for as little as £1
Three terraced homes in Middlesbrough are likely to excite the market when they appear at an auction next month with guide prices* of just £1 each.
The mid-terraced, two-bedroomed properties, which all need improvement works, head a range of north east homes appearing at SDL Auctions Bigwood’s auction at Villa Park, Birmingham on Thursday 6 July.
Gurpreet Bassi, SDL Auctions’ partner and head of auctions, said: “These three properties offer excellent investment opportunities in the rental market and will potentially bring in attractive revenues once they have been refurbished.”
The three £1 Middlesbrough properties stand flush to the pavement with back yards at 9 Sadberge Street, 11 Peaton Street and 17 Bristow Street in North Ormsby, and are being offered on behalf of receivers.
Mr Bassi added: “These £1 properties are likely to generate a high level of interest in our auction which has scores of other interesting properties.”
While most of the lots at the Birmingham auction are based in the Midlands, other north east properties include:
A two-bedroomed flat on the eighth floor at 46 Prior Court in Billingham, Stockton on Tees, with a guide price* in excess of £15,000.
A three-bedroomed, semi-detached house at 49 South Parade in Hartlepool, a short distance away from the seafront, with a guide price* of £20,000.
A three-bedroomed, mid-terraced house at 28 Albany Road in Stockton on Tees, with a current rental income of £5,196 a year, with a guide price* in excess of £40,000.
The auction is the largest ever that SDL Auctions Bigwood has ever held in Birmingham. The full auction catalogue can be found here.
The auction in the Holte Suite at Aston Villa FC starts at 10.30am on Thursday 6 July, and SDL Auctions Bigwood is advising interested bidders to get there early to take their seat in the auction room as huge interest is expected.
