Homes sell for £115,000 above price guides at property auction

Three homes sold for a combined £840,000 – £115,000 above their price guides – at a successful collective property auction in Kidderminster last month.

Halls said the result demonstrated the success that can be achieved by marketing the right properties for auction.

First lot was 60, Marlpool Place, Kidderminster, a well situated, semi-detached house on a double width plot in need of refurbishment and modernisation in a popular residential location, which sold for £135,000.

Next up was Fair View, Sandy Lane, Kidderminster, a three bedroom detached bungalow on a generous plot with outbuildings and lovely country views, which attracted strong, competitive bidding and ultimately sold for £306,000, 22 per cent above its guide price.

The third and final lot was a substantial, seven bedroomed detached house (pictured above), Heath Lodge, Chaddesley Road, Kidderminster, which was in need of full modernisation but with fabulous potential. Strong bidding produced a sale for £399,000, £49,000 above its guide price.

The auction was held at Stone Manor Hotel and the auctioneer was Daniel Lovatt, manager of Halls’ Kidderminster office. Entries are now being accepted for the company’s next collective property auction on Wednesday, December 7 at the Stone Manor Hotel. For more information, contact Halls on Tel: 01562 820880.
