Auction key to lock-ups
A total of 29 lock-up garages in four blocks in Torpoint are going under the auctioneer’s gavel on 18th September.
They are available in two separate lots in Roberts Avenue – one with a freehold guide price of £15,000 to £20,000 and the other at £30,000 to £35,000.
They are among 191 lots listed across southern England in the September auction by Clive Emson Auctioneers – the firm’s largest auction by lot numbers in 13 years.
The first lot, guided at £15,000 to £20,000, is a row of eight garages at 2 to 9 Roberts Avenue.
The second lot, guided at £30,000 to £35,000, comprises 21 garages in three blocks at 10-30 Roberts Avenue.
Auction Appraiser James Lofthouse said: “Lock-up garages of this kind often prove popular at auction.
“They offer the option of continued use in their current guise with a rental return although some interested parties may wish to explore re-development schemes, subject to all the necessary consents.”
Also in the Torpoint area, land with lapsed planning permission for two apartments has a freehold guide of £30,000 to £40,000.
Located in Porspoder Place, in the coastal village of Cawsand, the parcel measures about 0.04 hectares (0.09 acres) and was previously occupied by a bungalow which was demolished following fire damage.

An array of land, houses and commercial property in West Cornwall are also set to feature in the auction.
Land next to The Ramblers, in Penstraze, Chacewater, near Truro, has a freehold guide of £120,000 plus.
Extending to 0.14 hectares (0.36 acres), it has planning permission for a pair of semi-detached, three-bedroom houses.

Also in the Penzance area, three-bedroom Bollogas Cottage at Buryas Bridge has a freehold guide of £250,000 to £260,000.
