Brentwoods' Old House sells at auction for £910,000
Brentwoods' Old House sells at auction for £910,000
The sale of Old House in the centre of Brentwood town at auction has exceeded its guide price of £700,000 – with the gavel finally lowered on a winning bid of £910,000.
The Grade II-listed building, in Shenfield Road, was sold by Savills in London, earlier this month.
The property, which needs complete refurbishment, was sold freehold with vacant possession.
Brentwood Borough Council leader Councillor Louise McKinlay said ahead of the sale: "The sale will ensure there is proper investment to bring it up to a high standard so that it can once again be a building that is used and one which we can all be proud of as a feature in the town centre."
