Rose Cottage, 1 Seven Ash Green in Springfield, is among 135 lots in the latest auction being held by one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

Offered jointly with Bartlett Hammond, it has a freehold guide price of £325,000-plus at the firm’s auction which ends on Wednesday 1 November.

Regional Director & Auctioneer Paul Bridgeman said: “This characterful cottage, dating back to the 17th century, is situated in the parish of Springfield and is well placed for access to Chelmsford city centre.

“It is the first time in almost 40 years that Rose Cottage is to be sold. The property, in a popular residential location, needs some improvement and modernisation and decoration according to taste.”
