Auction House West of England expansion plans
Auction House, the UK’s largest and most successful auctioneer has announced strategic expansion across its West of England territory.
The award-winning group has created dedicated auction rooms and support teams for two distinct areas: Auction House Bristol & Somerset North – which has been formed to cover the city, suburbs and much of Somerset, and Auction House Gloucestershire – which has been created to offer auction services throughout the county.
Auction House Founding Director Roger Lake said: “We now have 33 auction rooms around the UK and sold a massive 2,575 lots in 2013 – more than any other UK auctioneer. Our plans for the coming year include enhancing the service we provide and making this highly effective method of sale available to more and more private vendors across the West of England. This will best be done by operating two separate auction room territories and we wish both operations every success.”
The move will signify a real boost to the auction market in Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire and comes hot on the heels of the group winning four national awards in the space of just four weeks - including the coveted title ‘Residential Auction House of the Year 2013’ at the prestigious annual Negotiator Awards in London.
Nick Cragg, who is leading the Auction House Gloucestershire operation added: “We plan to expand our activities across Gloucestershire, working with other estate agents, corporate bodies and the public to put auctions well and truly on the map. We’re confident that the Gloucestershire property market is ready to support its own auction room and benefit enormously as a result.”
