‘Lots’ of potential at Romans’ next auction
Family homes, bungalows, plots of land and investment properties are all going under the hammer on Wednesday 21st September at the Green Park Conference Centre in Reading.
Romans’ anticipates another busy auction: “the post-Brexit market didn’t deter buyers at all during our previous auction in July, and demand seemed to be stronger than ever” comments Simon Clayton, Romans’ Auctions Director.
“With such a fantastic selection of properties available to buy at this auction we’re expecting another exciting event!”
Several detached properties are going under the hammer, including a bungalow on Victoria Road in Wargrave, with a guide price of £500,000 and planning permission for a four bedroom house. The property is in a great residential location with easy access to Henley-on-Thames, Reading, Maidenhead and Wokingham.
A vacant detached bungalow on Osborne Road in Wokingham is also being sold with a guide price of £475,000. It is currently arranged as four bedsits and provides great potential for reconfiguration as a family home.
Romans’ expects a period, detached house in Weybridge to attract a lot of attention on the day. With a guide price of £590,000, the three bedroom home offers excellent potential to make a beautiful family home. It is close to Oatlands School, local shops, and the mainline train station with direct links to London Waterloo.
If you’re looking for a home that you can really make your mark on, there are several properties requiring renovation and/or modernisation, including a mid-terraced house on Wantage Road in Reading with a guide price of £270,000, and a period semi-detached house on Yorktown Road in College Town, Sandhurst, with a guide price of £230,000. There is also a three bedroom detached house on Kentwood Hill in Tilehurst with a guide price of £330,000, and gardens totalling quarter of an acre.
“Auctions offer one of the fastest and most effective ways of buying property” adds Simon. “So if you’re looking for a new home or you’re expanding your buy-to-let portfolio this could be the answer!”
Other properties going under the hammer at this auction include a three bedroom semi-detached house in White Waltham, a two bedroom house in Old Woking, and a two bedroom timber bungalow in Purley on Thames.
